This is an expansion to the Construction Management Standards of Practice course (not a prerequisite) This course covers the administrative and reporting requirements for the Construction Manager during the execution of construction projects. It is intended to supplement Standards of Practice by providing an overview of the contract administration responsibilities on a typical project from concept to occupancy. Most projects have a unique set of contract administration requirements because of specific project characteristics such as geographical location, union issues, congested urban sites, currency rates that require the Construction Manager to implement appropriate contract administration measures to address all of these issues. Whether a project is being delivered under a traditional D-B-B contract, multiple prime contracts, construction management at-risk contract, or design-build contract will significantly impact the Construction Management’s responsibility for project management and Contract Administration.
