This course is designed to enable the students to comprehensively explore the tools,
methods, workflows and well as creative considerations in the production of television, film
music videos, and other broadcast related media. The students undertaking this course will
examine the history of film, the processes and methods for developing sound for picture,
and become practically engaged in gathering, crafting, editing and developing mixing Foley
skills to incorporate sound effects in all aspects of multimedia production. Students will
also prepare and explore the techniques to manage recording session for a score, develop
the final mix, and develop a film clip with a custom sound track. The students who
successfully complete this course will have the ability to successfully produce quality
videos (i.e. music, film, commercials, television, etc) designed to meet broadcast industry
standards.
